What is at the heart of a longer, healthier and happier life? Resilience!

 According to 30 years of research, resilient people are healthier, live longer, are more successful, are happier in relationships and are less prone to depression (Reivich & Shatte 2002).

Everyone can develop their own resilience. How we do this is an exciting aspect of our human experience.  It is also an interesting perspective for considering: how well we respond to the challenges that we all face during our life journey; and how well we cope with adversity?

 

Let’s go on a brief journey and explore the “Route to Resilience” and how it can be applied within coaching.  We will consider the following:

 Why do we need resilience?

  • What is it?
  • How resilient are you?
  • How can we be more resilient?
  • Are you surviving or thriving?
  • How does resilience help develop health, happiness and wellbeing?

As well as benefiting our current / future coaching clients, we will be developing personal awareness too!

 The session will be facilitated by Michaela Loughney, a Business Psychologist who specialises in the application of resilience research, tools and techniques for developing resilience in individuals, teams and organisations through facilitation and coaching.
